Turn your wardrobe into a boutique.

For most of us, the summer holidays are over and we are back at work or at school.

With autumn on its way, we often feel that we need more clothes. But what about the ones we still have? Which ones do we want to keep?

Of course, we can avoid this decision, buy new fashion items and put them ‘on top of the pile’, so to speak.

Or perhaps you want to do this differently, similar to what Marie Kondo suggests. Her method is radical and more thorough than our suggestion.

Think of your wardrobe like a boutique you visit every day. You want this visit to be a pleasure.

To achieve this, we borrowed one thing from Marie’s method: organising the clothes not according to type but according to colour.

The brightest colour, let us assume it is white, comes first.

So, we take all the clothes hangers with white items and put them together, and then the next brightest colour until we reach black.

Then fold and pile T-shirts the same way.

This process allows you to review every single garment and to recognise which ones you still wear and like. If you have not worn an item in more than one year, you probably never will, and you might consider giving it away.

Now, you not only can see what you need or want to buy, but your wardrobe looks beautiful, and just the look at it will brighten your day.
