High heels force you to walk tall and make more of one’s outfit. However, there are some think you have to take into account.

1 – Very High Heels
Most women cannot walk in heels of more than 10 centimetre height at all. That’s why we stop there.

2 – Watch the Anatomy of your Feet
All shoes should be comfortable but with high heels it is even more important. Your shoes mustn’t be too short, too tight or too large. Sometimes you can observe «hollow space» between the heel and the toes because the shoe is too short or too tight. This puts far too much pressure on your toes, which causes pain and damages your feet. Besides, it looks awful.
3 – Don’t try to buy cheap
There are two reasons why cheap shoes (and sometimes even expensive ones) are uncomfortable:
- Heels are pre-fabricated in specific factories. The good ones are expensive; even for shoe makers.
- The heel must be in the correct angle to the shoe itself. Not any heel can be combined with any last

This is possible. However, it is important to know that high heels are not stilettos. If you go for a block heel, you can walk on cobblestone without putting yourself in danger.
5 – Buy the height you feel comfortable with
If you are already tall you might be happy with a tiny heel. Whatever your height is, do not buy any thing you already feel uncomfortable in the shop. You must be able to walk up and down the shop with ease. After all, the heel height does not define the level of luxury of elegance. Style and quality do.
6 – Find a good shoe maker
Heels are very easy to damage since the possibilities to get stuck somewhere, rip of the rubber of the heel are endless. Only well-tended heels are elegant heels.
7 – Forget about Mount Everest
Yes, there ARE occasions when you shouldn’t even consider to wear heels. In Switzerland you can observe women in high heels boarding a train that will take them to the top of a mountain. Don’t copy this. Ever.
