While skin from sharks, rays or sturgeon has been used for centuries, we turn to farmed salmon and trout.
The fish itself has been bred in France and Norway, cooked and served in restaurants. In other words, the skin is a side product that would otherwise be wasted. Upscaling at its best.
The result is a fantastic and very beautiful leather which is available in many fascinating colours.
As for the cow, sheep and goat leather, we use mostly European hides (preferably from Germany, Austria, France, Netherlands and Switzerland). Using European livestock, we know that both animal welfare and labour laws are to a high standard and enforced.
PLASTIC?
No.
Every shoe is wrapped in a dust bag made of white cotton. The bags are sewn and embroidered in Italy. Even our beautiful boxes are made and printed in Italy.
